KPIX-5
KPIX Eyewitness News Special Report (36 sec. - 97k) This is an open/return from commercial break from a KPIX special report from 1994 or '95. During the 30 minutes of the "Special Report" that I have on tape, there were at least four commercial breaks. I think the theme is "Allegro" by Frank Gari. This music was also used in a 1997 promo on KRNV.

KICU-36(San Jose)

Station ID (26k) This is a 5 second KICU station identification.
Station ID #2 (38k) This is another 5 second KICU ID. This one doesn't have the voice over, and lists a Salinas-Monterey translator station.
KLIV Radio Promo (91k) This is an advertisement for KLIV News Radio 1590 in San Jose, "The Radio Station Next to the Glove Compartment of your car". It's preceded by a short KICU ID. There are various slightly different versions of this KICU ID. They're not especially interesting, but I'll post them if anyone wants them.
Three's Company promo (164k) This is a 60 second promo from around 1995 for reruns of "Three's Company" on KICU. It's not really worth watching (the show, or the promo).
Movies on KICU (89k) This is an advertisement for KICU's line up of movies.

KSAZ-10
Promo and Station ID This is 10 second promo for Access Hollywood, followed by a extremely FOXish 5 second station identification. As seen in the Access promo, in 1997 KSAZ had various people on the street doing their promos, and used the slogan "cool". KSAZ's original call letters were KOOL. By the way, Access Hollywood was advertised as being on at 6:30 PM, but later moved to 3:30 AM. It then moved to KPNX where it aired at 11:35 PM (or 11:37, or whatever...), and currently airs at 6:30 PM on KNXV.
"Where it's @" Promo This is a promo for a story on the 9:00 PM News which used the slogan "Where it's @, FOX10 News at 9:00".
9:00 PM Promo with Robin Garrison This is a promo for the 9:00 PM News with Robin Garrison.
9:00 PM Promo with John Hook This is a promo shown durring the credits to the FOX program aired before the 9:00 PM News.
FOX10 News@9:00 (2 min. - 307k) "Now! Live from Studio A!", This is a 9:00 PM open from May 1997 with John Hook and Robin Garrison. At the time, Hook and Garrison anchored the 60 minute 9:00 PM news, as well as the 30 minute 5:00 PM news, while Terry McSweeny and Marlene Galan anchored the 30 minute 6:00 PM news, and the 35 minute 10:00 PM news. Around 1998, the 6:00 PM news was eliminated, and the 5:00 was expanded to an hour with Hook and Garrison. Now, Hook, and Kari Lake (former weekend anchor on KPNX) are at 5:00 and 9:00. Troy Hayden and Elsa Ramon are now the 10:00 PM anchors. The 10:00 PM news has recently been reduced from 35 minutes, to 30. I'm not sure what happened to Garrison and Galan. I think McSweeny was a reporter for a while, but I'm not sure if he's still with the station. The theme in this open is "Image I" by Jerome Gilmer.
Display of sports scores This shows FOX10 screwing up primetime network programming to show the scores of a sports event. As mentioned in the above promos, it was a game being shown on Pay Per view, but FOX10 has the First "Free" Highlights...

KNXV-15
Tipping Promo This is a 30 second promo for a News15 report "To tip, or not to tip?".
10:00 PM News Promo This is a 5 second promo with a voice over by Robin Sewell mentioning "the late breaking details..."
10:00 PM News Promo This is a 40 second promo for the 10:00 PM News with Marc Bailey and Robin Sewell.
10:00 PM News Promo This is a 10 second promo with Marc Bailey. The music can be heard especially well in this clip, and the next one. I'm not sure what the music is, I think it might be a KNXV custom theme.
10:00 PM News Promo This is the promo aired at the beginning of the last commericial break during the last network show.
News15 at 10:00 Open (1 min. - 177k) This is a 10:00 PM open from April or May 1997. KNXV used the "Live, Local, Late Breaking" slogan, which I'm pretty sure KPHO used at some time, I think both stations might have actually used it at the same time.

"Thanks for watching NBC" Promo A 5 second promo with Jim Sackett and Laurel Sauer
NewsChannel5 at 11:00 PM Open (2:36 - 409k) This is an 11:00 PM open from November 2000. This could very well be the worst news open... Ever! It's so lame how two feathers of the NBC Peacock light up in a camera lens as each note of the NBC chime is played! The theme is of course "Counterpoint", "composed" by Stephen Arnold.
Decision 2000 Theme (30 sec.) This is an 11:00 PM return from commercial break in which WPTV used NBC's "Decision 2000" theme.
Weather Report Open (55 sec. - 149k) This is the open to the 11:00 PM weather segment with Steve Weagle.
"Secret City" weather segment (48 sec. - 128k) This is the end of the 11:00 PM weather segment, in which the weatherman shows a shot of a "Secret City", and the anchors guess where it is. Fritz Coleman sometimes does a similar segment on KNBC.
NewsChannel5 11:00 PM Close (30 sec.)
"Special Report" Promo This is a 30 second promo for a NewsChannel5 Special Report. "The season for giving is in full swing... but so is taking!"

Steve Weagle Promo This is a promo advertising that Steve Weagle also does weather reports in the Sun-Sentinel newspaper. It's not as good as a similar promo on KPNX with weatherman Sean McLaughlin.
Various WPTV Promos This clip includes a promo with Jim Sackett talking about "Digital Doppler Radar". I don't know why they used Sackett instead of weatherman Steve Weagle. It's followed by a public service annoucement which shows a "5 Cares" logo at the end, another PSA with Governor Jeb, and a promo for movie reviews on NewsChannel5.

Equal Opportunity Employer Message This is is a 20 second annoucment about WPTV being an Equal Opportunity Employer. It's followed by a 20 second promo for the Fishing Report. "We'll reel you in!"
Business Report Promo This is a 30 second ad for the "South Florida Business Report". It looks like child porn to me. Perhaps it's "art".
Food For Families This is a promo with Jim Sackett for a holiday food donation drive. I have at least two additional versions of this on tape, but none of them are especially interesting.
Lottery Numbers This clip shows WPTV screwing up network programming by playing the NBC chime and shrinking the picture to display the winning lottery numbers (even KOAT can do it better!), and subsequently putting a large WPTV logo on the screen. WPTV's picture quality looks about as bad as WNBC, but unlike WNBC, WPTV looks as bad at all times, rather than just during network programming.
Al Roker flooding ad This is a 15 second spot shown on WPTV of Al Roker in the WNBC weather center talking about flooding.

Special Report (2:30 - 397k) This is a special report on "The Fight for Florida" from November 2000. "B Package" by Frank Gari can be heard at the beginning and end.

Eyewitness News 11:00 PM Open (2:41 - 417k) This is a November 2000 open to the 11:00 PM news with Tom Donovan and Tiffany Kenney. Donovan used to host the late night news program "Nightside" on NBC. WBPF's theme is "Image News" by Frank Gari.
11:00 PM Close (2 min.- 286k) This is the close from the 11:00 PM edition. It includes a report about "election jokes".

Promo for 10:00 PM News This is a promo aired before the credits of the last primetime show
Your FOX29 10 O'Clock News Open (3 min. - 459k) This is a November 2000 open from the 10:00 PM News. It includes the promo, the opening theme, and about the first 90 seconds of the news itself. WFLX's news is produced by WPEC. Anchor Curt Fonger is often seen as a reporter on WPEC. WFLX supposedly uses "Champion News Series" by Frank Gari, but it doesn't sound like it to me. WFLX's graphics resemble those used by FOX a few years ago.
10:00 PM Close (2 min.- 345k) This is the close to the 10:00 PM news (notice that both Freedom Broadcasting, and Raycom Media are mentioned). It's followed by some promos for WFLX programming, and an ad for a AIDS Walk with anchor Claudia Shea and some local radio hosts.

Judge Judy promo In case anyone was wondering what WTVX's graphics are like, here's a 10 second Judge Judy promo. Most, if not all UPN/Paramount/Viacom O&Os use similar graphics.

Ski Report This is a skiing report from the 6:00 PM news. It's not terribly interesting, but you can hear some unidentified music playing faintly in the background. Part of PNP perhaps?

Consumer Watch Promo This is a promo for a "Consumer Watch promo". It's followed by the beginning of the Barbara Walters ABC 20th Anniversary special, with the ID for KOAT, and it's satellites KOCT Carlsbad, and KOVT Silver City
Barbara Walters Clip This is a clip of that Barbara Walters special which shows the open to ABC News from 1978, as well as a show called "Issues and Answers". A "KOAT New Mexico" ID can be seen over it.
Action 7 News Promo This is a promo with Nelson Martinez for Action 7 News Live at Ten
KOAT commercial break This is a commercial break from KOAT. It includes an ad for Jewel Osco supermarkets, as well as a News at Ten promo with Nelson Martinez and Diane Anderson, and another short KOAT promo.
Live at Ten Promo This is the promo which airs at the beginning of the last commercial break during the last network program.
Action 7 News Live at Ten Open This is a 10:00 PM open from 1996. The theme is "The One and Only" by Frank Gari.

KRNV News 4 Promo This is a 30 second promo for KRNV 11:00 PM news, evidently from October 20, 1997. At the time, KRNV used "WFSB News Package" by Frank Gari, and the signature of that can be heard at the end of this promo, however the theme played in the background thoughout the entire promo was a theme used on KPIX around 1994. It might be from "Allegro", I'm not sure.
